There has been discussion about adding more dealers to Armored Warfare for a long time now and on 11 February 2016, a third one will come. Zhang will offer up Chinese vehicles to start, including a new tier V premium Main Battle Tank, the WZ-1224.
When I first saw both these pictures, my original thought was a Type 59 and Leopard 2 had offspring. The real WZ-1224 project was an attempt to replace the aging Type 59, but failed to live up to any real improved standards.
Looking at the attributes from the Public Test Server produced these results. Except for the ICE editions of the T-72 Ural and M60A3, there isn't another tier V premium MBT available for purchase. How does it stack up against some other tanks of the same tier?
By the numbers alone, it could be a decent performer and depending on the skill level of the player using it....well, I have this sneaking suspicion there will be more than just a few running around on and just after patch day. For one thing, it unlocks the Zhang dealer tree, without having to play to the requirements to do so.
However, if the 1500 Gold price tag goes untouched, that could be reason enough alone.
