So begins the Year of the Monkey

Monday, 8 February 2016 is the start of the Chinese New Year. It is this also the Year of the Monkey, according to the Chinese Zodiac, along with some other interesting facts and trivia http://www.chinesezodiac.com/monkey.php http://www.travelchinaguide.com/intro/social_customs/zodiac/monkey.htm 

So, what does this mean for the tanking world? Lets have a quick look.

War Thunder. Although I have pretty much scrapped playing, I do still have the client installed. So, I updated to the current version (only 251 mb, a quick 10 minute wait) and had a poke around.

No events and challenges, but since the game doesn't have any Chinese content, no big surprises either.

WOT does have Chinese content, so players can have some fun playing with or grind out tanks from this nation, if they so desire.

I might jump into a few battles myself and tear around in my only Chinese (Taiwan, really) Type 64 premium tier VI Light Tank.

For Armored Warfare, the big news is a third dealer named Zhang should be coming this week, along with an initial offering of Chinese tanks. Read more about that here https://aw.my.com/us/news/general/introducing-chinese-vehicles

Until Zhang finally arrives, I can still make use of the first introduced Chinese vehicle, my tier III Main Battle Tank, Type 59. Like my Type 64, I will have some fun in the lower tiers with this, a great little gift from Christmas and Obsidian.

However, if you want to go tanking with a full Chinese flavor, there is another choice. Final Fire is a combat game from China that makes use of armored fighting vehicle from around the world.
