Still not the update folks are waiting for

I don't know about you, but this appears to big a pretty big update for something that doesn't seem to be so significant. No further word on Update 0.19.

The Backburner

If anybody has noticed that content is a little slow in coming on this blog, it's because I haven't had a lot of interest in playing Armored Warfare this past while. Even with recent announcements of the revamped background story, giving the game a narrative component and more talk about upcoming changes, I have pretty much joined countless other on the sidelines, waiting for Update 0.19.

Final Fire has joined AW on the "meh, not today" category too. I don't have any idea what is going on with that title, since I don't trust Google Translate on giving legible information and if it involves any kind of real world money, the I am seriously not interested.

For now, the tracks in both games, are not in motion.

Be a tester, earn a sticker and buy stuff

Meanwhile in Armored Warfare, nothing new about Update 0.19, other than they launched another Public Test Server to possibly iron out bugs and changes.

In observance of International Woman's Day, they have offered up the opportunity to earn some modest ingame rewards and sales of premium assets, which is being discussed on the forums. To get a idea of the mood surrounding this event and the general feeling from the community, click here.

Interim Intentions

Still no news on Update 0.19. In the interim, there is something old/new on the horizon called the Storyline Campaign. Details are more than just a little vague right now, but there is also a preparation special to help get things started.

If I had to guess, it could very well be modeled after the recent Super Brawl event, since the coding for this type of special would be fairly easy to modify, mostly wording on the portal and announcements, but the tally system would remain the same.

Perhaps Monday will be the launch day for this?

I want my fun back!

Perhaps it's the mood on the forums that I am allowing to affect me, or seeing the serious the lack of players in queue, but playing Armored Warfare doesn't feel like a fun thing to do these days.

Although I have set out very minimal, but progressive goals, such as continuing to advance through both the tier VIII Ariete and tier VI Leopard 2AV, it is taking a lot of conscience effort to load the game up and shake off this feeling I am performing some self-imposed, perpetual chore.

Some might chime in with switching over to PvP mode, just to change things up a bit. Sadly, any time I queue up, there is never enough people to put a match together. Global Operations shares all of these same conditions as well.

PvE has been the only mode to offer any sign the game is still alive. I have been lucky with timing that my wait in queue hasn't been a long and intolerant experience. Despite the fact this is the environment where I have spent most of my time, even now the pull to play here isn't nearly as strong as it used to be.

However, that doesn't mean I don't have some interesting battles....
