This is especially the case in combat themed titles, such as Armored Warfare, where victory comes from the strength of a good team and a mostly dead team can leave behind too much for the survivors to handle....

More Of A Note To Myself Than Anything

With an adjusted ten days left in the Age of Rage campaign (a recent patch added three days to the original remaining time, read about that here), I just wanted to post a screenshot of my progress of to this current point.

With continuing high hopes of getting something really good (and permanent), here's is another round opening Crates of wonder in Armored Warfare....

It Seemed Like A Good Idea

Let me start things off with another refresh of things, like the new header picture of this very blog.

A few days ago now, there was an alarming announcement (to some in the playerbase) about the discontinuation of 32 bit support for Armored Warfare, you can read those details here. I didn't spend too much time poking around, but I did discover I have a 64 bit gamemode already installed (if I am to believe both the upper and lower screenshots I took).

I guess December will tell me if I have interpreted things correctly, or not.

Next up, I bid Au revoir, prends soin de toi to the tier V AMX-13 DCA, a French version of the Russian Terminator, without the missiles. What a fun, deadly and very lucrative little machine.

Finally, with a new intro to go along with my "refreshed theme," I took out my tier VII ZUBR PSP, but I swapped out the cannon module for missiles. I wanted to create a kinda preview for the next big premium to be earned in the upcoming American Dream campaign....

Gold Digging To Surprise Termination

Well, I have collected enough Gold for what I would consider to be a minimum threshold for a new, high tiered premium vehicle in Armored Warfare.

For the full price of 14k Gold, I could park a premium tier IX Leclerc T40 in my garage. From the moment I heard, way back when now, that this "French Terminator" was coming to Armored Warfare, I was very excited to see it in battle and held on to serious considerations to acquire one. Now that I have enough to get one, I find myself looking at any other options (influenced by the fact I spent under $12.00 CDN for the tier VIII M-95 Degman premium MBT).

A machine that is currently "In Development" has piqued my interest on a higher level than the Leclerc T40 is the Stryker ADATS. Now, anybody has been following my content for some time will know I have a "soft spot" for wheeled vehicles and this version of the Stryker would make a very nice addition to to my upper tier premiums.

According to this article, the Stryker ADATS will be an earnable premium, much in the same fashion of how I picked up the tier VII ZUBR PSP. It is also a forgone conclusion that it will be more that 300 points to collect one, but if the "quick complete" for Gold is reasonable enough, it could be a cheaper vehicle than the Leclerc T40. I will give my thoughts when the new campaign starts and I see what is really required to get one.

Now, I could bypass the waiting part, dive deep into my wallet and buy what is being called the "Chinese Terminator," solely on the sales pitch alone. First, no stats on the vehicle? Second, the steep real world price? Third (now this is based on the time of this posting), no gameplay video or review from a credible content creator?  I think I will just take the free stuff and pass on this deal.

However, I did play the very vehicle that inspired the Chinese QN-506, the tier IX Terminator 2....

Algo chamado Sucuri

I have added another multi-wheeled vehicle to my garage in Armored Warfare, the tier VI Brazilian made EE-18 Sucuri II. To find out more about this machine, check out Armored Warfare's article here.

The Next Chapter

With twenty days to go in the Age of Rage campaign in Armored Warfare, they went and announced what is coming soon. Check out those details (although these are patchnotes for the 0.30 Public Test Server, a lot of what is being offered will carry over to the Live Server when the update drops) here.

One paragraph that caught my attention was this, "The new prize will be a Tier 9 Premium Tank Destroyer called Stryker ADATS – a Stryker chassis with a turret featuring not only very fast ATGMs, but also unguided rockets.


It's worth noting that if you obtained the ZUBR PSP prize vehicle during the earlier Moscow Calling contract but have not completed its upgrade objectives, the American Dream contracts will also count towards those."

I certainly hope the second part they are talking about has to do with the above picture (my current progress, after parking the ZUBR PSP in my garage).

As for the Striker ADATS, you might be wondering just what that is. Well, here is an article on the Armored Warfare version, along with other preliminary info for the next campaign.

Speaking of the winding down campaign, I have completed (except for the vehicle skins, since I am not interested in those) the missions, mostly for the Crates and extra Gold. My Battle Path progress is at Rank 13, with the next vehicle (the tier VII BWP-2000 premium Tank Destroyer) coming in at Rank 30.

Unless I decide to chain myself to my chair and bypass eating, sleeping or family attention, I think I have got all I am going to get from this event and I am okay with this.
